How do I register as a supplier in Uganda?

Use the Register as Supplier link on the eGP portal. The portal also links a Supplier Registration Guide and a tool to validate registration certificates.

Do Ugandan contractors get a price preference?

Yes. The Act sets 7 percent for works and services and 15 percent for goods. The contractor must be registered in Uganda and more than half owned by citizens.

Can a foreign company bid on Ugandan government works?

Yes. Foreign bidders may join open domestic bidding. Open international bidding seeks foreign providers. Ugandan contractors receive a price preference.

Are some Ugandan tenders reserved?

Yes. PPDA can name contracts and sectors for reservation schemes. The notice says if a tender is reserved.

Where can I find construction tenders in Uganda?

Uganda's public bid notices appear on the eGP Uganda portal at egpuganda.go.ug. It groups notices as works, supplies, consultancy and non-consultancy. The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) regulates the rules.

Where are Ugandan construction tenders published?

The PPDA site sends its Tenders link to the eGP portal. A PPDA statement of 5 June 2026 plans an upgraded eGP in all entities from 1 July 2026. Confirm each buyer's route in its notice.
