Is there one site for all development bank tenders?

No. UN Development Business used to gather them, but it ceased all activity on 31 March 2025. Its closing page links to each institution's procurement site.

Can a firm from a non-member country bid?

It depends on the bank. The World Bank, AIIB and EBRD accept firms from all countries, with exceptions. ADB, AfDB, IDB and IsDB generally limit bidding to member countries.

Who do I contact about a tender?

Use the agency named in the notice, not the bank. IDB, for example, says bidding documents come directly from the project's executing agency.

Does a ban by one bank apply at the others?

Often, yes. The World Bank, ADB, EBRD, IDB and AfDB have enforced each other's debarments since 1 July 2011. Check your joint venture partners too.

Do I need to register before I can bid?

On EBRD work, usually yes. EBRD encourages suppliers to register in ECEPP to take part. Some EBRD contracts run outside ECEPP. For other banks, follow the notice, because the borrower sets the steps.

Answer · Finding tenders

Where do development banks publish their tenders?

Each bank publishes on its own site. Look on projects.worldbank.org, adb.org, afdb.org, aiib.org, iadb.org and isdb.org. EBRD uses its ECEPP portal. The borrower or client usually runs the tender, not the bank.

We checked these pages on 1 November 2026. Bank rules change between editions, and the tender's own documents always decide.
